We are talking about the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle modernized for these purposes. The latter is equipped with special antennas that can relay a signal from an electronic warfare ground station to effectively suppress various kinds of systems, including drones that correct artillery fire.

According to the Eurasian Times, this is the first known case of the use of an electronic warfare drone by the Russian military. In all likelihood, due to small antennas, the coverage area may be small, however, given that the drone will be able to fly at an altitude of four kilometers, this will greatly expand the coverage of the jamming zone.

According to experts, the drone itself can be used as a repeater. This can provide jamming in a sufficiently large range and thereby interfere with the operation of enemy unmanned aircraft, guidance of anti-radar missiles, missiles of HIMARS systems, etc.
