Khinshtein showed a video message from captured Russian Armed Forces soldiers

Deputy of the State Duma of Russia Alexander Khinshtein drew public attention to a video message from a group of Russian military personnel believed to be in captivity on the territory of Ukraine. In the published video, the men, standing in front of a white wall surrounded by barbed wire, introduce themselves, indicating their full names, dates of birth and places of residence before serving in the army. They wear the same blue uniform and share information about their injuries, including amputations.

One of the applicants, Sergei Alekseevich Galkin from Roshchinsky in the Samara region, claims that he and his colleagues have been in captivity for the third year. They all express a common desire to return home to their families and loved ones. Khinshtein, commenting on the situation, noted that he had received many appeals from residents of the Samara region about their relatives in captivity, and had already taken measures for their release.

This appeal became the reason for intensifying efforts to free Russian citizens who found themselves in a difficult situation in the conflict zone.
