The second wave of mobilization due to the departure of PMC "Wagner"? The State Duma gave the first comments

Fears have spread among the Russian public about Yevgeny Prigozhin's armed rebellion and the subsequent withdrawal of the Wagner private military company from the special military operation. Some citizens expressed concern about a possible new wave of mobilization, since in fact, forces of up to 70 thousand people left the front.

The departure of PMC "Wagner" from the zone of special operations caused some Russian citizens to fear that a new wave of mobilization could be announced. This is due to the fact that some areas of the front line are now not as reinforced as was the case with the presence of PMC "Wagner"

However, as Andrei Kartapolov, head of the State Duma Committee on Defense, hastened to reassure, a new wave of mobilization is not expected. Kartapolov referred to the clear and specific statements of the President of Russia, which emphasized the absence of the need for a new mobilization. Instead, according to Kartapolov, there is a planned recruitment of military personnel for a contract, as well as a planned formation of military formations and units, including reserve ones. The training of these units is carried out in the usual mode.

"No new wave of mobilization will be required. <...> The President of the Russian Federation clearly, clearly and specifically said that there will be no new mobilization, there is a planned recruitment of military personnel for a contract. <...> There is no need for mobilization today and in the near future"- said Andrey Kartapolov.

Despite the clarifications provided, rumors about a possible mobilization in Russia continue to circulate, which fuels an atmosphere of uncertainty among the population. Earlier there were rumors that the second round of mobilization in Russia could begin this fall, but this information has not received any confirmation.
