The Russian army storms the last settlement before entering the northern part of Bakhmut.

After a successful taking control of n.p. Red Mountain north of Bakhmut, the Russian army almost immediately began to storm the village of Paraskovievka, located on the very outskirts of Bakhmut. In fact, Paraskoviyivka is the gateway to the northern part of Bakhmut, and it is this part of this city that is considered the most vulnerable by the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to the lack of defensive areas and structures here.

At the moment, it is known that the assault on Paraskovievka is being carried out immediately from the north and east, which provides an opportunity for the successful pushing back of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to experts, Paraskoviyivka may come under the control of Russian troops by the middle of this week. After that, the Russian army will completely take control of the route from Bakhmut to Slavyansk and ensure the encirclement of Bakhmut by approximately 75-80%, thereby depriving the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the opportunity to somehow transfer their forces to the region.

Previously, assumptions were made that the final encirclement of Bakhmut could be completed at the end of February, however, given the fact that there are up to 10 thousand Ukrainian military and foreign mercenaries in the city, the cleansing of the city itself could take about another month.
