Flights between Chita and Sochi will be subsidized from the state budget.

Information about this was provided by the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Natalya Zhdanova, noting that in order to attract new air carriers, as well as to ensure high demand among passengers, it was decided to allocate a certain amount of funds from the state budget in order to subsidize air travel. In addition to Chita-Sochi flights, it is also planned to subsidize flights to Simferopol and St. Petersburg, however, it is obvious that the number of subsidized tickets will be very limited, and the subsidies themselves will apply only to certain categories of citizens.

Currently, the Chita airport is trying to find new air carriers that will be interested in the development of these routes.
