The Romanian Ministry of Defense announced the discovery of drone debris in Romania

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not have information about the wreckage of the drone found in Romania. The Romanian Ministry of Defense previously announced the discovery of suspected fragments of a UAV in the village of Insula Mare on the banks of the Danube. The country's specialized services began an investigation on Friday to establish the origin of the found debris.

This incident caused a wave of discussions in the context of previous reports from the Romanian defense department about the presence in the country of drone debris similar to those used by the Russian military. This information was passed on to Romania's NATO allies. In turn, Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg noted the lack of data indicating a “deliberate attack by Russia.”

In connection with these incidents, the Romanian Foreign Ministry expressed its protest by sending notes to the Russian Embassy in Bucharest, including accusations of violating Romanian airspace.
