Security forces raided the office of the Beribit crypto exchange, located on the 52nd floor. Eyewitnesses reported that the doors to the office were broken down, indicating the suddenness and urgency of the operation.

The reason for such decisive actions, according to preliminary information, could be suspicion of financing terrorist activity. In particular, we are talking about supporting the terrorists who organized the recent terrorist attack at the Crocus exhibition complex. It is alleged that funds to support terrorists could come from abroad, while cryptocurrency was used, which significantly complicates the process of tracking transactions.

Interestingly, just before the raid, the Beribit website stopped working, which may indicate attempts to cover their tracks or prevent access to compromising information. Let us note that the Investigative Committee previously announced that terrorists received funding from the territory of Ukraine and specifically in cryptocurrency, which adds an international context to this situation.
