The capital of Armenia is under the threat of direct strikes from the new Turkish military base.

The Turkish military has begun building a new military base in the area of ​​Mount Ararat, which provides an opportunity for almost complete control of the western part of Armenia and, which is much more problematic, creates the threat of direct attacks on Yerevan. Given the serious crisis in relations between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey, the appearance of a Turkish military base only 40-45 kilometers from Yerevan can clearly lead to an aggravation of the situation in the region.

At the moment, it is known that the Turkish military base will be created on a modular basis. It is supposed to place electronic intelligence equipment, radar stations and artillery equipment here, which in turn allows Turkey to strike at the territory of Armenia and even directly attack Yerevan.

Ankara has not yet made any official explanations regarding the exact purpose for which a military base is being built near the borders of Armenia, however, the latter will definitely pose a threat to Yerevan, and also, probably, to the Russian military stationed in Armenia.
