Israeli fighter jets strike Lebanon

The Israeli Air Force carried out airstrikes against targets of the Lebanese Hezbollah group in the Markaba and Srebbine areas in southern Lebanon. The operation follows earlier clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces along the countries' border.

According to a correspondent for the Arabic news channel Al-Jazeera, one of the houses was destroyed as a result of the attack on the city of Srebbina. The air attack injured 14 civilians, two of whom were seriously injured. The Lebanese National News Agency also confirms that nine people were injured in the Srebbina attack, including two Syrian nationals.

These developments confirm tensions in the region, where incidents on the border between Israel and Lebanon continue to increase. The strikes aimed at Hezbollah infrastructure, the Israeli military says, are a response to provocations by the Lebanese group.

The growing number of civilian casualties is of international concern and requires immediate consideration of the safety of civilians in conflict zones.
