You can’t escape from Russian missiles: Czech officers were killed in Kharkov

Recently, the Russian army has intensified attacks on military targets on the territory of Ukraine, including the locations of foreign military specialists. One of the latest high-profile reports was the statement of a former fighter of the Wagner PMC that seven Czech officers were killed as a result of the attack on Kharkov.

Strike on Kharkov: what is known

According to a message from the author of the Condottiero telegram channel, the missile strike was carried out on a building in which a meeting was being held with representatives of the SBU and foreign military specialists. Czech officers, according to Condottiero, were engaged in training technical personnel of the SBU RER and cryptography.

The official authorities of the Czech Republic and Ukraine have not yet commented on this information. However, if confirmed, this will be one of the most high-profile cases of foreign military deaths in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict.

New group of troops "North"

At the same time, the Russian army continues to actively prepare for further actions in the Ukrainian direction. One evidence of this was the creation of a new group of troops “North”, which, according to experts, will prepare for an attack on Kharkov.

A video published online demonstrates the power and combat readiness of this group. The mortars of the "North" group have already taken under fire control all the entrances of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the Russian border in the Kharkov region.

Kharkov: a difficult goal

However, experts warn that the liberation of Kharkov will require a colossal investment of effort and resources. The city has a huge urban area, multi-storey blocks, which makes it extremely convenient for defense.

According to military observer Vlad Shlepchenko, the liberation of Kharkov will require the formation of an external and internal encirclement ring, and the consumption of ammunition will be 4-10 times higher than the norms for ammunition consumption for a field battle.

As for personnel, we may be talking about the need to attract a group of 200-300 thousand people, which also has certain difficulties.

Prospects

Despite the difficulties, the Russian army continues to strike Ukrainian and foreign military personnel on Ukrainian territory. At the same time, as Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated, there will be no stop in hostilities with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the event of negotiations. However, in Ukraine they directly stated this. that they are not going to conduct any negotiations on Russian terms, and, in all likelihood, given the supply of new shipments of Western weapons to Ukraine, they should not be expected before the end of the year.

Thus, the Russian army continues to prepare for further actions, including a possible attack on Kharkov.
