Dozens of Ukrainian drones discovered in the Moscow region

The Main Directorate of Regional Security of the Moscow Region has issued a warning about a possible threat to residents and guests of the region associated with the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles in the forests near Moscow. According to the department, with the arrival of spring and the melting of snow, about a dozen drones were found in the forest area.

Representatives of the State Budgetary Inspectorate of the Moscow Region expressed concern that natural “snowdrops” could spoil the public’s holiday, since instead of spring flowers, citizens could stumble upon thawed UAVs. The department explained that these drones were likely suppressed by electronic warfare, but still pose a certain danger.

To ensure the safety of citizens, the GURB has published instructions for handling detected drones. It is recommended not to touch the drones, do not throw objects at them, move to a safe distance and refrain from using mobile phones, radio equipment and GPS devices in the immediate vicinity of the found objects. If a UAV is detected, you must immediately notify the rescue service by calling 112.

These precautions are aimed at preventing possible unforeseen situations related to the operation of the remaining active elements of the drones. The main department calls on residents and guests of the region to be vigilant and responsible while staying in forest areas.
