Washington is negotiating with Ankara to increase purchases of explosive materials important for the production of 155 mm artillery shells according to NATO standards. Among the key components purchased from Turkey are trinitrotoluene and nitroguanidine, substances that play a critical role in the manufacture of highly effective ammunition.

It is planned that the agreement between the countries will not only significantly increase US production, bringing it to three times the current level, but will also strengthen military ties between NATO partners. Washington's increased interest in Turkish explosives reflects the US strategic desire to ensure the reliability and stability of its military supplies in the face of international tensions.
