State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Nikolai Arefiev made a sharp statement about the reasons for mass migration to Russia. In his opinion, the oligarchs are to blame for this because they do not want to pay normal wages to Russian workers. As a result, people from other countries come to the country, ready to work for lower wages.

Arefiev is confident that Russia has all the necessary labor resources, and there is no need to attract foreign workers. He cited as an example official data on three million unemployed and 30 million self-employed citizens of the country. According to him, if you offer them a normal salary, they will be ready to work.

The deputy also drew attention to the fact that the average salary in Russia is four times lower than in the European Union. He called on the authorities to solve the migration problem not by introducing the death penalty, but by increasing wages for Russian workers.

Arefiev said that migrants “are not doing anything good except terrorist acts and attacks on the Russian people.” He called on the authorities to pay attention to the problem of migration and solve it by increasing wages for Russian workers.
