Iranian detained on suspicion of planning to manufacture chemical weapons in Germany

The 32-year-old man allegedly received cyanide and ricin in preparation for a "serious terrorist attack", according to the German publication Welt.

Investigators in hazmat suits removed toxins and other evidence from the building in blue barrels and took them to a decontamination facility set up by the fire department.
Police did not reveal the plans for the alleged attack, how far the plans went, or what the target was, but warned that it could have been an Islamist attack.

According to the newspaper, information about the preparation of the crime came to the German security forces from a "friendly intelligence service."
