The largest hospitals in Ukraine are preparing to receive thousands of wounded in the event of a counteroffensive

Ukrainian hospitals are preparing to receive thousands of wounded.

In his latest video message, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for the first time since the beginning of his presidency did not mention "the liberation of the country's territories." This provoked a reaction from forces that are called "patriotic" in Kyiv. In their opinion, Zelensky is trying to mislead Moscow in this way and a counteroffensive could begin at any moment, Alexander Sitnikov, a columnist for the Free Press portal, reports.

However, experts quickly cooled the ardor of "hot heads", pointing out the lack of sufficient forces and means to conduct a full-scale military operation. They also noted that the weather was not in line with plans to use the 70-ton Western Leopard tanks.

The West is already warning that if Kiev continues to "frighten" Moscow with a counteroffensive, but does not move from its place, the Russian Armed Forces may independently go on the offensive, which will be an unpleasant surprise for Kiev.

The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and President Zelensky continue to actively engage in propaganda, ignoring warnings from the West. On April 22, there were reports of a landing on the left bank of the Dnieper near Energodar, where the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is located. However, the information was later denied.

However, some signs indicate that a counter-offensive may still take place. In particular, it is reported about mobilized people heading towards Berislav from Kherson, as well as about the preparation of hospitals, the delivery of medicines and dressings in Nikolaev and Odessa. Ukrainian politicians, including the controversial ex-ambassador to Berlin Andriy Melnyk, are demanding more weapons from the West. This is also part of the propaganda, as Kyiv hopes to blame the inevitable failure of the counterattack on the allies in Washington and Brussels, who, in their opinion, did not provide enough tanks and other weapons.

The Ukrainian authorities have not yet commented on the rumors about a possible counter-offensive, but continue to actively conduct a propaganda campaign, trying to maintain the morale of the national-patriotic forces and convince the international community of their determination to continue the fight.

However, experts in the West continue to urge the Kyiv authorities to realistically assess their capabilities and seek a political solution to the conflict, warning that an ill-considered counteroffensive could lead to even greater losses and escalation of violence.
