On the night of April 27, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a large-scale drone attack on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea. The main target of the attack was the Kushchevsky airfield, where 38 of the 66 drones were sent. This was reported by the Mash telegram channel. Later, a video allegedly appeared on the Internet of the consequences of the attack on the airfield, but there was no official confirmation of this.

The attack began around 3:20 a.m. and lasted an hour and a half. Air defense systems were able to successfully repel the attack, shooting down 66 drones over the Krasnodar Territory and two over the Crimean Peninsula. According to the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratyev, casualties and serious destruction were avoided.

In addition to the airfield in Kushchevskaya, Ukrainian drones attacked oil refineries. 12 drones were sent to the Ilyinsky oil refinery, all of them were shot down, but the debris of seven fell on the territory of the plant. The Slavyansk EKO refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban was also attacked, where six of the 12 drones were destroyed by air defense systems, and the fall of others led to minor damage to the distillation column and a fire, which was quickly extinguished in an area of ​​10 square meters. m.
