An explosion and a fire started near the airfield in Yeysk.

Residents of Yeysk report that a strong explosion occurred in the vicinity of the military airfield at night. It is reported that before the fire, local residents heard two sounds similar to explosions and filmed a trail in the sky, presumably from a rocket.

In the presented pictures you can see that a serious fire really started in the Yeysk region. Information about the explosion has not yet been documented. At the same time, there is no way to reliably state that the explosion occurred directly at the airfield itself, and not beyond its perimeter, as local residents claim.

According to a number of assumptions, the strike could have been delivered using an unmanned aerial vehicle, since the attacks over the past day on Russian territory using drones turned out to be extremely large-scale. However, given that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received GLSDB missiles, at a distance of 140 kilometers from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the latter were quite able to attack the Yeysk military airfield, since the maximum range of strikes for GLSDB ammunition is 150-170 kilometers.

There are no official statements on this matter, however, various military aviation facilities were previously based at the airfield in Yeysk.
