An American M109A5 howitzer was destroyed by a precision strike in the Kharkiv region.

The American M109A5 howitzer, which is actually a complete analogue of the American M109 Paladin howitzer, was destroyed by a high-precision hit by a Russian missile in the Kharkiv region. The type of missile has not yet been named, however, the defeat was so strong that the M109A5 howitzer, previously put into service with the Armed Forces of Latvia by Latvia, was literally smeared across the field.

On the video footage taken at the site of the destruction of the M109A5 self-propelled artillery mount, you can see that the damage caused by the self-propelled guns with a high-precision strike is critical. The hull of the howitzer was almost completely destroyed, and the turret, probably due to the explosion of the self-propelled guns ammunition, was thrown back several meters. In fact, there were no whole elements left of the sufficiently protected M109A5 self-propelled artillery mount. At the same time, taking into account the official data of the Latvian side, the entire Armed Forces of Ukraine received 6 self-propelled guns М109А5. This indicates that 5 more such howitzers may be in service with Ukraine.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively pulling long-range artillery weapons to the Kharkiv region, intending to take control of the Svatovo-Kremennaya line, however, at the moment, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are suffering very serious losses here.
