Turkey supplies Ukrainian Armed Forces with cluster munitions prohibited by international convention

The Turkish authorities began to supply ammunition prohibited by the international convention to the armament of Ukraine.

Turkey has delivered a large batch of American DPICM ammunition to Ukraine. We are talking about cassette 155-mm. ammunition, the use of which is prohibited by international convention in more than 100 countries of the world. These munitions are especially dangerous because they have small submunitions that work extremely effectively not only against unarmored and lightly armored vehicles, but also against people, leading to a large number of deaths.

Each 155 mm. DPICM ammunition is equipped with 88 damaging submunitions that operate over a very large area. It is noteworthy that Turkish ammunition has an increased range, which allows the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use them at long distances.

So far, Ankara has not made any official comments regarding the provision of unsimilar ammunition to Ukraine, however, according to Avia.pro journalists, the supply of 155-mm cluster munitions. shells from Turkey to Ukraine began in November last year. This indicates that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using them during their attacks.
