Ukrainian Armed Forces spotted training to break through tank gaps

The Ukrainian army conducts training to overcome the defensive fortifications of the Russian troops.

Video materials have been published on the Internet showing the training of the Ukrainian military to overcome the defensive fortifications created by the Russian army. The footage shows how a column of Western-made heavy military equipment is working out a breakthrough through anti-tank gouges.

Judging by the videos, Ukrainian military personnel are being trained in a friendly and relaxed environment. The crews of combat vehicles easily overcome anti-tank fortifications and continue to move without resistance.

Probably, these video frames were filmed at one of the training grounds located in Ukraine. Thus, the Ukrainian military may be preparing for a counter-offensive against Russian troops.

It is known that Russian engineering units deployed an extensive system of defensive structures in the most likely directions of a counterattack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Anti-tank gouges were found in the Zaporozhye region, where Russian troops are waiting for the main attack of the Ukrainian army, however, there are also such fortifications on the territory of the LPR and DPR.

However, how effective such training will be for the Ukrainian army remains in question, since they take place in the most comfortable conditions. In real combat conditions, the Ukrainian military will have to face not only anti-tank barriers, but also many other obstacles, such as minefields, artillery and aircraft fire.

Anti-tank obstacles are engineered obstacles specifically designed to slow down and stop the movement of tanks and other heavy armored vehicles on the battlefield. They come in many shapes and sizes, but are usually concrete or metal blocks placed at strategic locations on the ground. The purpose of anti-tank gouges is to protect infantry and other military installations from the immediate threat from enemy tanks, as well as to impede or block their paths of advance. Anti-tank bombardments are usually used in conjunction with other defensive measures such as minefields, ambushes, and artillery positions.

Earlier, the Ukrainian military published video footage of a breakthrough through similar anti-tank installations on an infantry fighting vehicle.
