Ukraine signed contracts with Turkey for the supply of new weapons

Ukraine signed new contracts for the supply of Turkish weapons.

Ukraine has signed three new agreements with the Turkish company Baykar, the manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar, as part of the international exhibition of aviation equipment Teknofest 2023 in Turkey. This was announced by the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshyn.

"There is an important result - three new agreements with the Turkish manufacturer Baykar for Ukrainian manufacturers. Of course, I won't tell you the details, but I assure you that these contracts give our country export earnings and a new generation of weapons", - wrote the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industry.

Although the details of the agreements were not disclosed, it is clear that they are designed to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey in the defense industry. Moreover, there are serious concerns that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive new drones from the Turkish manufacturer, and given the fact that Turkey has previously developed new long-range weapons for the Bayraktar TB2 UAV, there is a risk that the Ukrainian army may receive additional strike weapons.

This morning it became known that the Russian military succeeded for the first time in a long time destroy another Ukrainian UAV Bayraktar TB2.
