The UK is preparing to recognize PMC "Wagner" as a terrorist organization.

According to information published by The Times newspaper, the UK authorities are planning to officially designate the private military company (PMC) Wagner as a terrorist organization in the coming weeks. British government sources indicate that the legal grounds for listing PMCs as a terrorist organization have been developed for two months.

The main purpose of this decision is to increase pressure on Russia, since Wagner is associated with Russian interests. The UK authorities consider it inevitable that the Wagner PMC will be included in this list.

Once the Wagner PMC is designated as a terrorist organization, belonging to it, participating in events, supporting or wearing company symbols will become criminal offenses in the UK. In addition, financial sanctions may be imposed on PMC Wagner, which may make it difficult to raise funds through British financial institutions. Moreover, experts do not exclude that in this case, the UK may try to attack areas where Wagner PMC units are occupied, including on the territory of other countries, linking this to anti-terrorist operations.

A few days ago, the French National Assembly also called on the European Union to recognize PMC Wagner as a terrorist organization.
