Mass protests in the Gagauz autonomy: citizens take to the streets in defense of the election results.

In Comrat, the capital of the Gagauz autonomy, mass protests took place in response to the attempts of the Moldovan security forces to prevent the approval of the results of the election of the head of the region. Citizens gathered at the building of the Central Electoral Commission of Gagauzia and went to the Appellate Chamber of Comrat, where a bus with Moldovan special forces was stationed.

Mass protests in Gagauzia testify to the growing tension between the region and the central government of Moldova.
