Russian shells proved effective against Leopard 2A4 tanks.

If the Russian T-80 tank and the German Leopard 2A4 tanks delivered from Poland take part in the battle, there is extremely unpleasant news for NATO military equipment. As it turned out, despite all the high-tech German tanks, the latter are easily penetrated by Russian 3BM-42 Mango ammunition, and, which is quite remarkable, not by the warhead, but even by the shank.

As the simulation of the situation showed, when a Russian T-80U tank is fired with a 3BM-42 Mango projectile, despite the relatively small angle of inclination of the armor of the Leopard 2A4 tank, the penetrating part of the ammunition really cannot penetrate the tank’s armor, as it is reflected from it tangentially. However, the tail of the ammunition literally breaks through the armor, which practically guarantees the destruction of the tank.

As for the much more powerful T-90 and T-14 Armata tanks, for obvious reasons, the Leopard 2A4 tanks will not be able to match them in battle.
