Ukrainian Leopard 2 tanks are already in the vicinity of Wagner positions on the outskirts of Bakhmut.

Advisor to the Acting Head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said that the Polish Leopard 2 tanks that arrived earlier in Ukraine were already deployed not in the Clock Yar, as the head of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin had previously claimed, but in the area of ​​​​Bakhmut itself.

“There were statements that “Leopards” appeared in the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) area. This is the same armored target, like all the others. It’s not worth making sensations out of this ”- said Gagin.

The number of tanks deployed here is not disclosed. However, it was previously reported that these combat vehicles are capable of effectively attacking only as part of a company unit. This means that in Ukraine at the moment there are no longer four tanks, but 11, although only four combat vehicles have officially been reported.

It is known that the positions of Wagner PMCs are located only 5 kilometers from the Leopard 2 tank deployment area. This does not exclude the possibility that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may try to counterattack using Western weapons.
