Despite the earlier statement by the head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, that units of the Donetsk People's Republic are located in Soledar and control the central part of the city, the founder of Wagner PMC Evgeny Prigozhin made a statement in which he emphasized that the city was stormed exclusively by units of a private military company , thereby refuting Pushilin's statement.

“The divisions of PMC Wagner took control of the entire territory of Soledar. A cauldron has been formed in the center of the city, in which urban battles are being fought. The number of prisoners will be announced tomorrow. Once again I want to emphasize that no units participated in the assault on Soledar, except for the fighters of the Wagner PMC»- said Prigogine.

The head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, has not yet commented on this situation.
