On the night of April 23, Russian troops carried out a large-scale combined attack on strategically important targets in Ukraine, as a result of which air defense elements and other important facilities were hit in Kyiv and its environs, as well as in Odessa and the Odessa region.

Explosions reportedly occurred in the capital of Ukraine and surrounding areas, including Vasilkov and Bila Tserkva, which, according to preliminary data, damaged at least one air defense missile launcher. Data on the destruction is being clarified.

In Odessa and the Odessa region, explosions also caused significant destruction, but a fire at the port infrastructure was a particularly significant event. According to Russian sources, this facility was used by the Ukrainian military to prepare for receiving ships with foreign weapons. The seriousness of the situation is confirmed by reports of a large fire starting after the arrival of one of the shells, which may indicate the presence of flammable or explosive materials in the port area.
