A Russian Su-27 pilot shot down two Ukrainian Mi-24s and a Su-25 attack aircraft in one sortie

A Russian pilot destroyed two Ukrainian helicopters and a fighter jet in one sortie.

During a patrol over the line of contact, Russian Aerospace Forces pilot Alan Datiev spotted two Ukrainian Mi-27 helicopters on his Su-24 fighter. Datiev decided to get close to them and destroyed both air targets. Later, he found three more Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft in another area and shot down one of them. The remaining two attack aircraft tried to attack the fighter, but could not shoot it down and were forced to return to base with losses.

In turn, the pilot himself said that everything happened during a routine patrol. He noticed two enemy helicopters, after which he approached and destroyed both air targets. Then he discovered three Su-25 attack aircraft and, after analyzing the situation, shot down one of them. The remaining two stormtroopers failed to achieve their objectives and were forced to retreat.

According to media reports, the Ukrainian side did not provide official comments on this incident. At the same time, Russian media note that this is not the first time that Russian fighter jets on the border with Ukraine stop airspace violations and attack Ukrainian planes and helicopters.
