Kots: Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing a breakthrough to Svatovo for a subsequent strike on the LPR

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will try to break through the line of defense in Svatovo.

War correspondent Kots said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to recapture the Svatovskaya Line from the Russian troops, which is a convenient springboard for an attack on both the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR) and Artemovsk (Bakhmut). However, due to unfavorable weather, they do not yet dare to counterattack, as they cannot use heavy armored vehicles, which is probably the reason for the permanent postponement of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

“The Svatovsky line is the northernmost section of the contact line. What is its importance: to the east of this Svatovsky line is the LPR, to the south - the DPR, to the west - the Kharkov region of Ukraine, to the north - the Belgorod region. It's practically a crossroads. The enemy, it seems to me, will inflict either an auxiliary or one of the main blows there. Because Svatovo is a major transport hub and, having captured it, the enemy will be able to develop an offensive both on the LPR and on Artemovsk"- said the Russian military commander.

According to a military expert, the Russian military has long prepared for enemy attacks and is waiting for it to launch a counteroffensive. At the same time, the Ukrainian military and mercenaries are conducting small-scale reconnaissance in an attempt to identify vulnerabilities in the defense. In the rear, they already have shock groups ready, which are waiting for the order to attack. At the same time, the tactics, apparently, will be the same as in the Kherson and Kharkov regions last year.

Kots noted that the main reason for the delay in the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is unfavorable weather. He cites an example when they were driving two off-road vehicles across a field towards the gunners who are working on Belogorivka, but both off-road vehicles got stuck in the mud due to difficult swamps that formed after a recent snowfall in the Donbass. This creates difficulties for both wheeled and tracked vehicles.
