Hamas calls on Jordan to go to war against Israel

Abu Ubeida, spokesman for the Palestinian Hamas movement, called for increased fighting on all fronts in his address to mark the 200th anniversary of the start of the conflict with Israel. He praised Iran's April 13 attack on Israel, noting that the use of missiles and drones "set new rules" and greatly complicated the situation for Israel and its allies.

Abu Ubaida also called for escalation in Judea and Samaria, as well as Jordan, which he described as "one of the most important Arab fronts." For its part, Jordan actively counters threats to its security, successfully intercepting and shooting down Iranian drones that violate its airspace. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Hussein Abdullah al-Safadi confirmed the country's readiness to repel any aggressive actions, regardless of the source of the threat.
