Former member of Wagner PMC was sentenced to 22 years for the murder of a pensioner

Ivan Rossomakhin, a former member of the Wagner PMC, was sentenced to 22 years in prison on a number of serious charges, including murder, rape and threats to kill. The crimes were committed in the Vyatskopolyansky district of the Kirov region, where Rossomakhin returned after participating in a special military operation in Ukraine.

According to local police, Rossomakhin, who signed a contract with the Wagner PMC and returned home after six months of service, caused alarm among local residents with his aggressive behavior. He carried an ax and a knife, threatened passersby and committed several acts of vandalism.

The situation escalated when Rossomakhin, while intoxicated, attacked a pensioner he knew. He first raped the woman and then brutally killed her, leaving her in a helpless state.

In addition to imprisonment, the court ordered Rossomakhin to pay 2 million rubles as compensation for moral damage to the family of the murdered woman.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that former members of the Wagner PMC have become involved in criminal cases related to murder.
