The Russian military destroyed three Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft in a day.

The planes tried to attack the positions of the Russian military, but were promptly detected and hit. Information on this subject was officially announced by representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

All three Ukrainian combat aircraft were shot down on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. This may indicate that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrating their strikes in this particular direction. However, enemy aircraft are said to have been successfully hit.

“Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down three Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in the areas of the settlements of Yasenovoye, Pushkino and Maksimilyanovka of the Donetsk People's Republic”, - reports the defense department of the country.

How many Su-25 attack aircraft are in service with Ukraine is unknown, however, according to data at the end of 2021, the Ukrainian Air Force included about 40 of these combat aircraft. At the same time, the facts of the transfer of Su-25 attack aircraft to Ukraine by other countries were not recorded.

In total, since the start of the JMD, according to the RF Ministry of Defense, 370 aircraft and 200 helicopters have been destroyed in Ukraine.
