American MQ-9 Reaper raised from the water, and its wreckage has already been studied by Russian experts

Experts of the Russian military-industrial complex have raised the wreckage of the American MQ-9 Reaper from the Black Sea and have already studied the design and contents of the fallen drone.

According to the Svobodnaya Pressa portal, Russian specialists were able to lift the wreckage of the American MQ-9 Reaper (“Reaper”) unmanned aerial vehicle from the bottom of the Black Sea. The authors of the publication recall that after the fall of the drone, the United States was forced to stop reconnaissance flights near the borders of Crimea in order to avoid new similar incidents that could lead to escalation.

However, Russian engineers have already managed to study the wreckage of the drone and get a lot of useful information about the design and principles of operation of the radio-electronic components of the device, as well as its optical equipment for reconnaissance.

The incident with the MQ-9 Reaper occurred on March 14, when one of the Russian Aerospace Forces fighters accompanying the drone made a sharp maneuver, inadequately perceived by the drone operator, as a result of which the propeller was damaged on the UAV. After the drone crashed into the Black Sea, Russian specialists had to remove the wreckage of the drone from the water, which was officially reported.

It should be noted that the extraction of the wreckage of the MQ-9 Reaper UAV from the bottom of the Black Sea was not officially reported.
