Russian communications satellites were attacked Starlink satellites.

Military expert Alexei Leonkov commented on the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry about the attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to influence Russian communications satellites. He explained that with the availability of electronic warfare equipment in Kyiv, such an impact is quite likely.

According to the expert, the Ukrainian armed forces do have electronic warfare systems, but they are outdated. However, most likely not they were used to attack Russian spacecraft, but Elon Musk's Starlink satellites, which operate in the same millimeter range as electronic warfare stations.

Starlink satellites are equipped with four signal emitters and, if properly configured, they can be used as an electronic warfare tool. It is quite possible to reprogram satellites for this purpose from the ground; it is enough to focus the antennas on one of the Russian devices in order to influence it specifically.

Leonkov noted that there have already been attempts to attack Russian satellites. But this time, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a final warning - if this happens again, then Russia reserves the right to strike back. The situation with the attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to influence Russian communications satellites continues to cause excitement and alertness in society.
