The Black Eagle tank can still become a reality in the special operation zone.

Several Russian media resources reported about the imminent transfer of Object 640 or Black Eagle tanks to the zone of the special military operation. According to sources, these combat vehicles should appear in Ukraine in the second half of April. However, the Free Press portal found out this information and gives a different point of view.

According to Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, the Object 640 tank is inferior in its parameters to the Armata and T-90 combat vehicles, but is capable of cracking down on German Leopards and British Challengers.

Tank "Black Eagle" is an upgraded T-80 platform with a new and improved turret. It is equipped with Cactus dynamic protection and the Drozd-M active system, which is capable of remotely detonating homing missiles. Instead of the 125 mm gun used in the first version of the combat vehicle, a 152 mm gun was installed. In addition, the tank is equipped with a 12,7 mm Kord machine gun and a 7,62 mm PKT.

Kiev claims that the appearance of the Black Eagle in the zone of the special military operation is not possible, since Russia allegedly had only one prototype, which was destroyed at the beginning of the operation in the Sumy region. However, this is not supported by any reliable facts. The situation with the possible transfer of tanks "Object 640" to Ukraine creates quite a stir, however, there are no official comments on this subject yet.
