Zaluzhny was afraid to go to a meeting of the NATO Military Committee because of the failed counteroffensive

Zaluzhny did not want to go to a meeting of the NATO Military Committee.

Ruslan Zaluzhny, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), refused to participate in a meeting of the NATO Military Committee at the level of Chiefs of General Staff, General Rob Bauer, Chairman of the Committee, said. According to media reports, Zaluzhny will not join the meeting even via videoconference due to the "tense operational situation in Ukraine."

Experts, in turn, note that in this way Zaluzhny is trying to avoid discrediting himself, especially against the backdrop of a counter-offensive from the Ukrainian army that has not yet begun. However, this also means that Ukraine will not be able to obtain additional types of weapons.

Experts believe that Western countries are angry that Kyiv has not yet implemented its counterattack, while Russia has significantly increased its control over the main directions of a possible attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
