A tactical missile "Tochka-U" was shot down in the Belgorod region.

Journalists from Russia reported on the Ukrainian missile "Tochka-U" shot down over the Belgorod region on the night of Tuesday, May 9. The Mash information channel in Telegram published data that air defense systems shot down a missile over the city of Valuyki. According to preliminary data, the rocket could be launched from the Kharkov area. No one was injured in the incident and no damage was caused.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, also confirmed this information on his Telegram channel, indicating that the missile was shot down over the village. He added that the consequences of the incident on the ground are now being clarified.

The wreckage of the rocket was discovered by local residents around midnight. Initially, it was not possible to identify it, however, it was later announced that it was a tactical missile of the Tochka-U OTRK. At the same time, it is very remarkable that the missile launch was carried out approximately simultaneously with the missile launches at the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
