Fierce clashes between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Russian troops began in the Gulyai-Pole area.

After a rather long lull in the territory of the Zaporizhzhya region, fighting again intensified here. As it became known, after the successful advance of the Russian troops, fighting began in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Gulyaipole, the transition of which under the control of the Russian army could allow the northern part of the region to be occupied, which in the future makes it possible to form a front for organizing an offensive in the direction of the Dnieper with access to Zaporozhye.

At the moment, the settlement of Gulyaipole is under the control of Ukrainian troops, however, the intensification of fighting here between the Russian and Ukrainian military indicates that Russia is organizing an offensive in this direction, probably also to prevent a possible counteroffensive of Ukrainian troops, which have already for two months they are building up forces in the region.

It is not known how large the grouping of Ukrainian and Russian troops is in this direction, however, if several settlements are taken under control by Russian troops, there may be a threat of encirclement of the Ukrainian army.
