Fierce fighting ensued in the suburbs of Bakhmut.

In the area of ​​​​the settlement of Klescheevka, located a few kilometers from Bakhmut, fierce battles ensued between the Ukrainian military and units of the Wagner PMC. This is a key settlement that provides an opportunity for the tactical encirclement of Bakhmut, in connection with which the fighting here is already quite fierce, as evidenced, among other things, by video footage published by the Ukrainian military.

On video footage taken by Ukrainian servicemen, you can see that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively using armored vehicles and are firing quite densely from various types of weapons. Moreover, judging by the use of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, combat clashes are conducted at a relatively short distance.

Where exactly in the Kleshcheevka area such video footage was filmed is not specified, however, analysts pay attention to the fact that Ukrainian troops are outside the fortifications. This does not exclude the possibility that the video footage shows an attempt by Ukrainian troops to develop a counter-offensive in this direction in order to push the front line to the east.

After losing control over Soledar, the Armed Forces of Ukraine transferred troops, numbering about 3 thousand people, to the Bakhmut area, thereby significantly strengthening the defense of the city.
