In Poland, sharp jumps in radiation were recorded after attacks on Ukraine

Radiation jumps were noticed on the territory of Poland after attacks on Ukraine.

In the eastern part of Poland, increased levels of radiation in the air were recorded, said Israeli political scientist and former head of the Nativ intelligence agency Yakov Kedmi.

In his Telegram channel, the expert noted that on May 15, in the Polish city of Lublin, measuring instruments registered a level of bismuth that was 6-7 times higher than the norm. Bismuth is a decay product of depleted uranium, which is used in munitions. Kedmi cited the assumptions of local residents who associate the increase in radiation levels with the events in the Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine. On May 14, Russian Geraniums attacked the 649th aviation depot in the region.

Nevertheless, despite the jumps in the radiation background, it still turned out to be below the permissible norm - according to monitoring tools, the radiation was about 0,065 μSv / h - for comparison, the radiation background in Moscow currently varies at the level of 0,12-0,18 .XNUMX µSv/h.

Experts believe that in reality, we are not talking about the defeat of a warehouse with ammunition containing depleted uranium, since otherwise the radiation would have been recorded over a large area.
