An air raid alert was declared in Belgorod and the Belgorod region at night after a series of powerful explosions, presumably caused by the activation of an air defense system. According to eyewitnesses and the SHOT Telegram channel, 10 to 15 explosions thundered in the sky over the city, which caused concern among the population.

Alarm signals were also heard in Shebekino, where explosions were also heard. Belgorod city authorities urged citizens to remain calm and follow precautionary measures, recommending shelter in rooms without windows and with solid walls to ensure maximum safety.

At the moment, there has been no official information about the possible consequences of these explosions or casualties.

What is noteworthy is that a day before this attack, the Ukrainian Armed Forces also carried out a massive attack on the Belgorod region using MLRS, tactical missiles and even balloons with explosives.
