An American drone destroyed off the coast of Crimea gave the Russian military information about US weapons.

According to the latest news, the United States is already wary of sending its strategic drones on reconnaissance missions near the border with Crimea. In the past, these events were held without any problems, however, now the Russian side has managed to collect a good harvest of US military secrets.

Experts note that Russia was able to assess the level of protection against interference of the MQ-9 Reaper strategic drone, and also gained access to identifying the frequency parameters of telemetry equipment. This allows Russian engineers and the military to more effectively counter US intelligence.

In addition, the United States fears that Russia will be able to raise the wreckage of the sunken MQ-9 Reaper from the bottom. If this happens, then Russian experts will be able to obtain detailed information on the principles of operation of the AN / AAS-52 optoelectronic systems and long-focus lenses.

Because of these circumstances, the United States has imposed a ban on sending its aircraft and UAVs to neutral waters near Crimea and other NATO countries. They are afraid of a repeat of the incident and are trying to minimize their losses in the event of the loss of drones.
