The Russian military declares the use of poisonous substances against them in the coal sector.

In the course of the ongoing attempts by the Russian military to storm Vuhledar, which is firmly held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it became known that ammunition with an unknown poisonous substance was used against the Russian military in this direction. One of these grenades was demonstrated by the Russian military.

In the photographs presented, you can see a cylindrical container that contains a solid unknown substance. According to preliminary data, such containers are thrown at the positions of the Russian military from drones.

What kind of chemical warfare agent is in question is not specified, however, experts drew attention to the preserved markings on the container. Marking M12 marked stun grenades. At the same time, the shape and size of the container fully corresponds to the standard American-made M12 stun grenade. This does not exclude the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use them.

“The mechanism of action of a stun grenade is that the latter, after being thrown, begins to emit smoke, after which it explodes, creating a bright flash. This may well have led to speculation that the grenade was filled with poison gas. At the same time, it is quite possible to place toxic substances in such containers, and therefore the danger should not be underestimated., - the expert marks.

So far, there are no official statements from the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding the use of chemical warfare agents by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
