Ukrainian drones attacked two fuel and energy complex facilities in the Smolensk region

On Wednesday night, Ukrainian drones carried out a series of attacks on fuel and energy complex facilities in the Smolensk region, reports the head of the region Vasily Anokhin. According to him, two fuel and energy facilities were attacked, which caused serious fires.

The incident began with an attack on an oil depot near the village of Razdoro, where local residents reported several powerful explosions. The second attack was aimed at an industrial facility in the Yartsevo district. As a result of both attacks, large fires started, and fire crews and emergency services were involved in extinguishing them. There have been no reports of casualties yet.

The attack was part of a larger operation in which three Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed in the Voronezh region, and one drone fell in an industrial zone in the Lipetsk region. This confirms the intensification of Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory, especially on strategically important objects.

In his statement, Governor Anokhin called on residents of the region to remain calm and not to panic, emphasizing that the authorities are monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the population and infrastructure.

These attacks occurred against the backdrop of Kyiv’s statements that Washington did not issue official bans on Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Russian fuel and energy industry facilities, which gives reason to assume that such operations will continue.
