88-year-old People's Artist Vasily Livanov is suspected of cancer. Previously, he was found to have a tumor.

The famous actor and People's Artist of the USSR Vasily Livanov, known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the cult Soviet TV series, has been preliminary diagnosed with a tumor. The 88-year-old artist turned to doctors because of the general weakness that he began to experience recently.
In a conversation with reporters, Livanov said that he does not have any complaints about his health and considers himself a healthy person. However, a medical examination conducted in March revealed that the actor was anemic. Currently, Vasily Borisovich is undergoing additional tests at the oncology center to clarify the diagnosis.
During his long and fruitful career in cinema, Vasily Livanov played in four dozen films, but the role of the great detective Sherlock Holmes brought him the greatest love and recognition from the audience. His skill and unique style of acting made this role one of the most striking and memorable in the history of Soviet cinema.
