The M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles delivered to Ukraine will be in the most protected version.

US Department of Defense spokesman Brigadier General Pat Ryder said that 50 dedicated infantry fighting vehicles M2 Bradleysent to Ukraine will be presented in the most secure version. We are talking about the M2A2 Bradley ODS version, which is a special upgraded version, taking into account combat use during Operation Desert Storm.

Such options are resistant to the use of anti-tank missile systems, hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles, etc. The disadvantage of such options is only a much larger weight, however, given that such vehicles weigh 25 tons, this will not create serious problems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, the American M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles are already in Romania, from where they are planned to begin transporting them to Ukraine in the coming weeks. At the same time, the delivery of ammunition from the United States is expected, however, the latter will be transported to Ukraine through another country (presumably through the territory of Poland - ed. note). This is likely due to fears that Russia might launch strikes before such weapons reach the front.
