The speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the damage, but work continues on the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in Kyiv.

The speaker of the Air Force of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, confirmed that the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in Kyiv was damaged, but continues to perform its functions and remains on alert. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the French news agency France Presse.

"Patriot is fine"- Ignat said in his interview. He also urged Ukrainians "not to worry" about the current situation.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system in Kyiv using the Kinzhal hypersonic missile. Kyiv initially denied information about the hit on the complex, but was subsequently forced to admit damage to it.

How critical the loss, even if temporary, of one battery of the Patriot air defense system will become is still unknown, however, CNN previously reported that the damage may be such that the Ukrainian army is able to fix them, although the Pentagon itself has no specifics on this account has not been entered.
