The Russian Investigative Committee began a large-scale audit of foreign employees of Crocus City Hall

The Investigative Committee of Russia has begun a large-scale inspection of foreign employees of the Crocus multifunctional complex located in Moscow. This investigation has attracted particular attention in connection with the investigation into the recent terrorist attack, as reported by the Baza information resource.

At the direction of the leadership of the Investigative Committee, investigators are conducting repeated interrogations of all foreign employees of the complex, mainly citizens of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. The main purpose of the interrogations is to find out the circumstances of the arrival and employment of these people in Russia, as well as their living conditions.

As part of the investigation, investigators are studying how long these employees have been in Russia and how they got a job at Crocus City Hall. Information is also collected on employment contracts, conditions for obtaining documents necessary for legal stay and work in the country. It was found that many foreign employees could be in Russia illegally, having received documents in violation of migration legislation.

Among other things, investigators will have to find out who and how issued patents for work, who carried out certification in the Russian language and knowledge of Russian history, as well as the real living conditions of migrants. The surveys will also cover landlords from whom migrants rent housing in the Moscow region. They will be asked to provide information on the number of registered and actually living persons, whether migrants have keys to rented apartments and the possibility of free access to housing at any time.
