The fighting continues to gain momentum in the Chasov Yar area, where, according to the latest reports from Ukrainian military-analytical resources, assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces were able to significantly advance into the depths of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defense. Information published on the Deep State platform indicates that Russian units advanced up to one and a half kilometers and reached the Northern Donets-Donbass canal, located behind the Kanal microdistrict.

It is reported that the breakthrough occurred north of the microdistrict in a forested area, which forced the Ukrainian artillery to actively work on the assault groups that had broken through. According to preliminary estimates, Russian troops were able to actually reach the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces units that were entrenched in the microdistrict.

The potential consequences of such a move could mean for the Ukrainian Armed Forces not only the loss of control over the forest area, but also the loss of private development to the north of the Novy microdistrict, which was previously densely built up with high-rise buildings. Particular attention in this situation is drawn to the fact that this area is of strategic importance due to its proximity to important communication lines and infrastructure facilities.
