The positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Brovarsky district of the Kyiv region were flooded due to the overflowing of the river.

The positions of the Ukrainian army, located to the north-east of Kyiv, were suddenly flooded by the overflowing Desna. The overflow of the river turned out to be so unexpected that the positions of the Ukrainian army were almost immediately unmasked. At the same time, the situation led to the fact that air defense systems, which protect Kyiv from missile strikes and attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles, had to be moved from this area.

Given the sharp rise in the water level in the Desna, experts draw attention to the fact that the same can happen in other regions of Ukraine. This will force the Ukrainian troops to retreat a considerable distance, which could well be used as a tactical advantage to carry out the offensive of the Russian army. In particular, we are talking about the Zaporozhye region, where Russian troops are currently actively developing offensive operations. However, a similar situation can be observed on the left-bank part of the Kherson region, and therefore the level of the rivers should be given special attention.
